Jerré Tanner
Hawaiian composer Jerré Tanner holds his home state?s highest musical honor, the Artist Fellowship in Music Composition. Awarded in 1997, it came at a time when Tanner was setting monarchy-era Hawaiian songs for performance by men?s, women?s, and mixed choruses, as well as solo voice.
